About The Event

Please join Amy Kerley for a delicious, 2 hour, yin & restorative yoga workshop to celebrate the Summer Solstice. Yin yoga is a practice of long held, passive poses, all done on the floor, with support from blocks, bolsters, and blankets.

Summer is a time of long, hot days & warm nights. According to Traditional Chinese Medicine, summer is the season of the fire element. A time of blossoming, growth, and of course, heat. In this workshop we will focus on long held yin poses that support the heart & small intestine, the organs that need the most attention during this season, so one can stay balanced, energized, creative, and calm. Summer is an outward time, we tend to socialize more & spend less time at home. It is also, however, important to find times to deeply rest & reset, so we can fully enjoy this lively time of year.…
