About The Event
Winter Yin : a Four Week Series with Morgan Engels Saturday Mornings | 9:30-10:45am | January 4-25
Every season brings a transition, and with a shift there is opportunity. Winter is nature’s time of hibernation, retreat, and active rest - in turn, these are the things that help us to replenish our internal batteries, to nourish our bones.
In the Yin Yoga practice Winter is a time to restore the water element in the body which is associated to the kidneys. In this four week Winter series we will grow a Yin Yoga sequence for the kidneys, expanding upon the practice each week. We will explore a slow moving floor based posture practice of both small breath based movements and longer held, passive stretches. These will all focus on opening the front and the back of the spine and the hamstrings.
By keeping the water element flowing during this cold season you will feel fluid, recharged and balanced.
Dress comfortably and bring a yoga mat. We ask the students sign up for each individual class. The pass is just $50 for all 4 classes: Jan 4, 11, 18 and 25.
