January 6 - April 7, 2027
Begins January 6, 2027
You already know how to teach many technologies of yoga...
You've learned how to sequence. You've developed your cueing. You've gathered experience in front of a room, yet there is another level of teaching that these times require. Students have many spaces and instructors to choose from, so what is going to be the piece that draws them to your classes, workshops and retreats? Trust.
How do you become the kind of teacher people can trust?
The kind of teacher who can sense what is happening without making assumptions. One who can listen deeply, skillfully navigate emotion, uncertainty, and complexity. One who can lead without controlling and understand when to speak, when to pause, when to ask a question, and when to simply stay present. The one can create the conditions for other people to participate, connect, grow, and find their own way.
This is what this course looks like:
-
30 Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Hours
-
12 weekly 90-minute live virtual sessions
-
Two private 1:1 mentorship conversations
-
Guided field practice between sessions
-
Small cohort of 6–8 teachers
How is this different from a typical teacher training?
This an active12-week apprenticeship in the human side of teaching and facilitating. Together we will explore what it means to continuing becoming an attuned teacher, a skilled facilitator, an ethical leader, a community steward with the keen ability to skillfully respond to all situations.

Your work continues between sessions where you can apply what we explore into your actual teaching and community life. These experiences include: active observation of another teacher, facilitating new kinds of group conversations, experimenting with shared leadership, navigating privilege, power and rank, fostering opportunities for repair after rupture and so much more. The key here is that we not only learn about these qualities and skills of great leadership, you'll also actively embody it through practice. See the chart below for the breakdown:
