Sangha Song Circle
Remember that your voice is your first instrument. Using it to express and create is your birthright as part of humanity. Singing, much like yoga, is a practice which you are the instrument, uncovering union of mind, body, breath and sound.

About The Event
Join musician and RYT Lisa for Sangha Song Circle, a sing-along similar to kirtan, which features chant, call and response, as well as simple rounds and part-songs taught in the oral tradition. We’ll warm up our voices with pranayama and vocal exercises and sing our hearts out with songs from diverse folk and spiritual traditions. We will close with a meditation and a prayer for peace.

Remember that your voice is your first instrument. Using it to express and create is your birthright as part of humanity.
Singing, much like yoga, is a practice which you are the instrument, uncovering union of mind, body, breath and sound. This requires some vulnerability and ultimately can be where many of us disconnect for our own authentic experience and sound.
"Oh, I am not a singer." "Someone said my voice sounds horrible." "I don't know how to sing." Sound familiar?
The truth is that we are born singers! All of us - those making a living at it and those belting in the shower.
In community we reclaim our voices by showing up to create something authentic. We suspend judgement, claim self worth and affirm that of others. -Lisa Maxfield
