About The Event
Please join our dear friend Sean Mizer as he shares his heart and craft on Saturday December 9th at 2:00 pm for a very special class on ceremonial drum making. This class will focus on the hide cutting and lacing of the drum. There is no woodworking involved (Sean takes care of this).
For thousands of years the drum can be found throughout history of indigenous people around the world. Sometimes called the frame drum or hand drum. Not only were they used musically while singing and in celebration, but also are considered sacred and used during ceremony, ritual, meditation and prayer.
This time presents you with the chance to make your own drum amidst Heart-Centered community, all while honoring the creative process.
Space is limited to 12 attendees… and *advanced registration is required unless you simply wanted to show up and watch (donations welcome). *Sign up deadline by November 15th
You can choose from a 16" drum for $250 and and 18" drum for $300. We will be working with Elk or Deer hides depending on availability. All solid wood frames are hand made by Sean using Western Red Cedar. Once you have made the payment you are signed up for the class. Apologies, there are no refunds for this class!
