Art + Heart: 2-Part Series Rudraksha Japa Mala Making

In this meditative art class, we’ll craft traditional rudraksha seed bead mala necklaces, grounding each knot and bead in presence, breath, and intention. Malas are more than adornments—they are tools for centering, chanting, and connecting with the sacred within and around us. We’ll begin with a grounding meditation and gentle mantra practice to set personal intentions. Then, through the rhythmic, repetitive process of knotting and beading, we’ll enter a flow state of quiet focus—allowing our hands to move with care and our minds to soften into stillness. As each mala takes form, it becomes a physical expression of devotion, mindfulness, and the beauty of steady practice. You’ll leave with your own completed or in progress mala necklace made from rudraksha seeds and accent beads of your choosing, as well as a deeper connection to the practice of mantra and the art of working slowly, intentionally, and with heart.
