About The Event
Yoga Nidra is an ancient form of meditation. It means yogic sleep or conscious deep sleep. Within meditation, one remains in the waking state of consciousness, and gently focuses the mind, while allowing thought patterns, emotions, sensations and images to arise and go on. In Nidra, you leave the waking state, go past the dreaming state, and go to deep sleep, yet remain awake. There is a paradox in this: going to sleep, yet still being fully awake seems impossible, yet this is exactly what happens. Relaxation happens at all levels: senses, body, breath, conscious and unconscious mind.
