Four Paths of Yoga, 4-Part Course

Yoga manifests itself as four major paths, namely Karma Yoga, Bhakti Yoga, Rāja Yoga and Jñāna Yoga. These four paths are like the branches of a tree or tributaries of a river. They all have the same source and resting place. In essence, they are all the same.

About The Event

Yoga manifests itself as four major paths, namely Karma Yoga, Bhakti Yoga, Rāja Yoga and Jñāna Yoga. These four paths are like the branches of a tree or tributaries of a river. They all have the same source and resting place. In essence, they are all the same.

The only thing that differentiates them is that there is a certain aspect of the mind involved in each particular path or practice.

In Karma Yoga the active aspect of mind is involved; in Bhakti Yoga, the emotional aspect; in Rāja Yoga, the mystical aspect; in Jñāna Yoga, the intellectual aspect.

Looking deeply at our own lives we can see how they might become known to us. When we are full of love for our fellow-humans and nature, we are Bhakti Yogis. When we stand by others and willingly help we are Karma Yogis. When we meditate and experience yoga practices, we are Rāja Yogis; and when we reflect upon the meaning of life and are explorers seeking truth and reality, we are Jñāna Yogis.

Join us to deepen your learning and discovery in this 4-part course, facilitated by Meg Lucks, Vanessa Weber, Michelle Marrero and Elias Sol, with special sessions led by Jess Kettner and Kerry Shamblin.
