About The Event
Be Still, My Heart: Restorative Weekend Retreat with Meg Lucks
Friday, November 17 - Sunday, November 19th
In the autumn, nature prepares for the introspective hibernation of winter. This retreat is your chance to remember your connection with nature and do that too. Join your community to quiet your mind, soothe your nervous system, nourish your body, release deeply held tension, and unlock your body’s potential for healing.
Sadhana (practice) of the weekend centers around restorative Yoga (we receive all the benefits of traditional asana by using lots of supports and increasing the time spent in each form), Yoga Nidra (Himalayan meditation) plus periods of silence. In addition, you have options for leisurely walking, energy healing, quiet time, reading, napping, and socializing with good company. You are welcome to participate in as much or as little as you'd like. Activities are suitable for folks of all kinds. Above all, no yoga, meditation or retreat experience is necessary.
Location & Accommodations: The Shalom House is a Frank Lloyd Wright style retreat center situated on 12 acres of Kettle Moraine Forest near West Bend, WI (50 minutes N of Milwaukee). Sweet Shalom sleeps up to 12 guests. Rooms have two to four twin-size beds. Enjoy the gorgeous great room with fireplace, spacious kitchen, wrap-around porch and more. Retreat leaders Meg and Adam Lucks will prepare fresh and delicious organic meals throughout your stay.
