About The Event

Retreats provide the container, tools and community for deeper self-discovery, practice and connection. I am most honored to provide the teachings and practices for our time together. To enhance your self-care during this time, I have asked Certified Ayurvedic Practitioner and Yoga Teacher, Heather Burkart, to join me! Heather will provide wisdom teachings to support your practice and well-being this fall and winter season. If you haven't met her at Heart, click to learn more about her HERE. In addition, Adam Lucks joins us onsite with his culinary genius!

This retreat is limited to 9 participants.

RETREAT TO BE HELD LOCALLY AT THE SHALOM HOUSE IN WEST BEND, WI

Open to any and all of our community members

Description: Yoga is the science of self-knowledge and Ayurveda is the science of life. Both allow you to see more clearly the true nature of yourself. When we practice Yoga and Ayurveda, we are gifted with understanding and many tools from these ancient sciences that quickly begin to enrich our daily lives, bringing forth greater health, purpose, and clarity. This retreat is designed to give you the opportunity to consider how to live Yoga and Ayurveda, discovering the innumerable benefits of a healthy lifestyle, cultivating a friendlier relationship with your mind, and finding a community to support you in these practices. Understand that there is no prerequisite to this retreat. If either of the sciences of Yoga or Ayurveda are new to you, or you have never experienced retreat, this is ok and we welcome you!

Both of my upcoming, local fall retreats center around the Niyamas which are the second limb of the Eight Limbs of Yoga from the ancient Indian sage Patanjali's Yoga Sutras. The Niyamas refer to the duties that we direct toward ourselves - inner observances. Each is intended to help us build character. When we work with the Niyamas – Saucha (cleanliness), *Santosha (contentment), Tapas (burning enthusiasm), Svadhyaya (self-study) and  Isvarar Pranidhana (surrendering to a higher power) – we’re guided from the grossest aspects of ourselves to the truth deep within.

Cancellation Policy

To offer participants greater flexibility as we make our way out of the pandemic, we’re offering a more generous cancellation policy for retreat:

  • $100 fee* when you cancel 7 or more days before the retreat (*fees reduced to half for scholarship participants)
  • No refunds when you cancel less than 7 days prior to the retreat (applies to all participants)
  • All payments will be facilitated via Venmo
